Just another question– what sort of training would you say you follow? “Ceaser Milan” or “Victoria Stilwell” ??
Hi Dani
Thanks for your post. Who is your friend? Perhaps I might bump into you walking your dog if you have them - do you?
I’m defintely more of a Cesar Milan follow, although I think Victoria Stilwell, and other trainers, come up with some really good training ideas and methods. I know Cesar Milan has a lot of critics, but I have to admit his methods really do work as long as the dog handler remains “calm and assertive”, as Cesar would say. Unfortunately I think the word ‘assertive’ is misinterpreted by some people who think it means to be oppressive - it doesn’t. To have a calm, well behaved dog owners must be a) his leader, b) calm, c) assertive (i.e. say what you mean and mean what you say), d) consistent; and all dogs must have adequate daily exercise and of course know they are loved and respected.
Who do you follow?
